Act 1

I think that something is going to happen between Nora and Helmer because of the way he treats her. Helmer is always referring to her as his little skylark and a little squirrel. Helmer needs to learn that Nora is her own individual. It kind of reminds me of how Walter treated Ruth in “A Raisin in the Sun”. The women in both of these stories are getting mistreated and looked at as less of a person. There is a struggle between Nora and Krockstad the struggle relates to money issues with Nora Borrowing money from him. To take her sick husband to Italy, but she need some to sign off on it. So she wanted her dad to sign it but because he was sick so she did not want to go to him so she forged the signature. Then Krockstad went to her begging for her to have her husband save her job. While this was going on he was holding the forged signature over her as black mail. There are to struggles the first which I explained and the second is an inner conflict because she tries to be what her husband wants her to be, but she doesn’t do it all the time. She is like Beneatha in “A Raisin in the Sun” because of the way she acted between The two guys.

  1. Good comparison to "A Raisin in the Sun" and I like how you summarized what happened in the act in a way someone could quickly understand ! ( :
